As well as teaching guitar I provide some exclusive services for students only.

CLASSICAL GUITAR RESTRING & CLEAN

Maintenance

Normally children to the age of 10 or 11 will use a Classical style guitar for their lessons. As a Classical style guitar is more difficult to restring than an Acoustic Guitar, I don't teach this to students. As children don't normally play their guitar a lot, their strings normally only need changed every 6 months.

What's involved?

  • Removal of old strings.

  • Lemon Oil - Guitar Fretboard Oil - Removes Dirt, Grease, Build Up from Instrument - Conditions to Resist Dryness - Extends Fretboard Life.

  • Spray Cleaner - Cleans and maintains - Keeps finish looking like new - Erases dust, fingerprints, and minor imperfections - Brings out the natural color and beauty of your instrument.​

  • ​Tying of new strings.

Cost

  • 1/2 hour of my time - £12.50.

  • Cost of strings - £10.

  • TOTAL COST £22.50.

ACOUSTIC GUITAR RESTRING & CLEAN

Maintenance

I do this once during a lesson for students, as it's important that they know how to change strings for themselves. Acoustic strings will normally need changed at least every 3 months and I keep track of this for my students. I can advise on the type and gauge of strings needed. I keep a good variety of strings in stock and sell these at reasonable prices.

What's involved?

  • Removal of old strings.

GUITAR DEEP-CLEAN (CLASSICAL or ACOUSTIC)

Maintenance

This service is much more thorough that the standard clean and ideally should be carried-out once a year. This service is for the student who is tight on time or would just prefer someone else to take care of their instrument.

Note: This service is for cleaning only and no strings are supplied or fitted.

What's involved?
